Wayfarer's Coat isn't quite armor, but it provides a more ragged look than most coat options, as well as Common Clothes and Armors. Adds almost 100 new styles of cloak to the world of Skyrim, via crafting, levelled-lists, and static loot. I'm personally fond of the Duskward Armor from Ulag's Legacy. Defeat the ominous Ashenrune at Arcwind Point to claim his armor and learn to summon a fittingly spectral horse. NordWarUA's Vanilla Armor Replacers replaces most if not all of the vanilla armors with more realistic versions, though if you don't want it as a pure replacer there's a standalone plug-in. Doesn't add new armor to the game, but Practical Female Armors changes most of the female vanilla armors to resemble the male counterparts (no more awful boobplate on steel plate armor), and I think there are patches for Immersive Armors, the aMidianborn retextures, and Beyond Skyrim: Bruma's armor floating around somewhere.
